Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitary. (Ver. 2)

I have never lived in a dormitory before, but many of my friends did. They sometimes told me about their lives in dorms. The biggest difference between living at home and in a dorm is that you no longer live with your family. Some people think it is a disvantage but some people think it is an advantage. For example, all the chores you have to finish (you have to finish all the chores) on your own, no one will do it for you, like doing laundry. On the other side (hand), some people will be glad because their parents would not be able to control their lives. They can decide what to do in free time. Another difference is living with roommates. It is not like living at home. Before doing anything, you should consider your roommates' feelings. For instance, if you want to listen to music, you should put on an ear-phone because one of your roommates is taking a nap. But you can learn a lot of things: learn to respect others, to compromise with things, and to know how to communicate with people. There are some people who get upset when living without their family. Because they miss their families a lot and think nobody is taking care of them anymore. But living in a dorm is a good way to learn independence. It helps you to grow up. Although I am not very fond of this idea, I am willing to try it. We cannot rely on our family forever; eventually we all have to grow up.
