Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory---2nd version

Living at home that who can take care of me and prepare three meals.I feel comfortable at home, but I not application to my homework.I am watching TV, movies, and playing computer uauslly. And one can teach me that when I had help for homework at home. And I go to school late usually and spend a lot of time on traffic. In the dormitory life that it will accord to school regulation, it is not freedom.I have be use to a team live. The advantages are: someone studying with me, someone can prompt me to go to school. In the dormitory life will be bored, it has not many amusement.I have to wash my closes, prepare three meals myself. But, I can learning a team live and to be independent.Above-mentioned are my reflections.
........................................
In my opinion, there are some differences between living at home and in the dormitory. Living at home is quite comfortable because my three meals can be taken care of. However, it is not helpful for my study becasue I usually watch TV, movies, and play computer games at home and no one can discuss homework with me. Moreover, I am usually late for class because I need to spend a lot of time in transportation to go to school. Compared to living at home, living in the dormitory is confined. I need to conform to dormitory regulations. However, there are some advantages of living in the dormitory: someone can study with me, push me to go to school, and I can learn to be independent. But, most of the time, the dormitory life is boring. There are not many entertainments. I have to wash my clothes and prepare three meals by myself.

Compare and contrast living at home and dormitory. ( 2 )

I have left my home town for studying since I was a collage student at Nation Huwei University. And I have been living at (in) the dormitory and the (an) apartment with my classmates for 7 years. There are some differences between living at home and in the dormitory. The advantages of living at home are that I have my own space to do anything I want to without any disturbance, and I can eat many delicious measl which is (are) made by my mother. Also, I don't have to do the laundry and pay for the rent. I could avoid getting wet in the rain by driving parents' cars, if it rains heavily. In contrast with living at (in) the dormitory, there are 6 roommates living in a small area where studying, sleeping, and playing are put together; therefore, we have to respect each other when someone is taking a nap. At meal time, I often go to school restaurant with roommates or classmates every day, and I have been eaten each of stores' food (have eaten each store's food for) more than 10 times. [[It is bored with me.]]==> I am quite bored with that/I am sick of that. Unquestionably (Doubtlessly), I have to wash clothes by myself. But, there are still many advantages of living in the dormitory. For instance, it is easy for me to ask [[curricular problems to instructor]]==>instructors about curricular problems and do group discussion with classmates because I [["live in the school."]]==>live on campus. And I do not have to come back before the (definition)=>set time of dormitory when I go out with friends for some entertainment, such as singing songs at KTV, watching the midnight movie, and [[having fellowship with girls.]]==>having a date. For me, the dormitory life is synonymous with the university life which is full of challenges. Now, I prefer living in the dormitory so much because after graduating, I will not have the secend chance to feel this. Good conclusion!
How come you do not need to go back to the set time of the dormitory. I am a little bit confused with this.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory (Verson 2)

After I entered NTUST, I had lived in dormitory for a year. So, I know [[some different from them]]==>the differences between living at home and in the dormitory. How to choose from them? [[People that need quiet or low cost in studying process may suffer the question.]]==>??? [[ there are two point]]==>There are two major differences between dormitory and home life as followed (as follows). Living in the dormitory is convenience (convenient). In school, commissary (?) , restaurant and constitutes (?) have been established to serve students and teachers. [[Dormitory students]]==>Students living in the dormitory don't (do not have to) wake up too early beacuse (the tuition building)=>? Do you mean "the classroom" is not too far. Unlike living at home, student can't (cannot) get up too late because they must take some time to move (go to) school. Besides that, students living in the domitory can go out and walk a little distance to buy or do someting to satisfy life demands. Also, there are many restaurants, stores and maybe one playground in school. You don't care about (do not have to worry about) eating, entertainment or life's demands. For example, if you are too bored to countinue working (studying), you can take (do) exercise in the playground. If you are hungry, you can go to restaurant to eat food (have something to eat). Moreover, [[near school, stree also be filled with stores there. That implicates you can choose more kind of life's demand.]]==>becasuse there are lots of stores near school, so you have a lot of options to choose for your daily necessities. [[In respect of studying, knowledge is convenient to find it in school, too]]==>In terms of studying, living in the dormitory is also convenient for doing research because library is often closer to dormitory then (than) to home. [[But, for student at home,It's may not very convenient, especially in suburbs]]==>Compared to living in the dormitory, living at home is not convenient in many aspects, especially for the students whose homes are in the suburbs. There maybe no playgrounds or restaurants near your home. You must take a lot of time [[by transport]]==>in transportation to go to school and [[there are not short distance between your home and the place I want going to]]==>???. The most and major [[different]]==>differences between living at home and in the dormitory is resourse sharing. In the dormitory, every thing you use must be shared with other people except your bed, such as bathroom, shower-room,water, air condition, television and so on. The matter that is very difficult to handle in the dormitory is space. [[One room is about six students residing at that room]]==> There are usually six students living in one room. [[Your frame of mind is dominated by the roommates.]]==>??? If you are fortunate enough, [[you will have a good guys or grils that is on their best behavior.]]==>you will have a few good guys or girls to live with you. If not, oh..[[that is]]==>there will be a tragedy to put on the stage. [[You maybe have a noise guys or girls that not sleep on time and bother you in nights.]]==>You may have a noisy guy or girl who do not sleep on time and would bother you at nights. Most of the students that (who) give up dormitory life had considered the problem. [[Unlike home, resourse sharing not exsit at it.]]==>??? Here we (I) provide two major points between dormitory and home life. [[If you are above water]]==>???, I will suggest you should choose home or hire a room. If not, living in the dormitory is an economical decision.

Compare and contrast living in an apartment and in the dormitory (III)

I think that living in an apartment and living in the dormitory have both their advantages and disadvantages. I have been living in the dormitory for almost two years and I feel very satisfied with it, the advantages for students are many: because you do not need to take a bus to go to class, the cost of the room and food [[inside the campus]]==>on campus are cheaper than outside, so you can save a lot of money. Moreover, if your roommates are also your classmates maybe the friendship improves. On the other hand, the space is reduced (limited) and it is not exactly your own space, in occasions (on occassion) you can not choose who are you going to live with and your roommates will be people you do not know.
Unlike living in the dormitory, living in an apartment is more expensive. In other words, you will spend more money paying the rent, electricity, water, Internet connection, etc. Also, if you do not have a motorcycle you need to take a bus or MTR to go to school, so you need to [[organize better your time]]==>learn to manage your time. However, if you find a good place you can have more space and also privacy, and perhaps you have the option to cook by yourself unlike in the dormitory.
To conclude, in my opinion, from the moment that you leave home to begin a more independent life, these two different environments are both good, in a sense, you learn about life, respect, and how to deal with that (What is that? Please elaborate on this).

Assignment 2(2nd edition):Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory

In all the universities, [[there have two parts in students about the place they leave]]==>there are two kinds of places that students can choose to live: living at home and (or) living in the dormitory. [[Both of two kinds of students have the feeling about the lifestyle and feel that living at home or in the dormitory is better.]]==>??? What's the difference [[What are the differences]] between them? First, [[compare to]]==>in terms of lifestyle, living in the dormitory can have more free time to let students do what they want to do every time. Maybe we can go shopping [[after the last class]]==> after class, go to KTV with friends in (on) the weekends. Everything can be decided by us! For living at home, it (we) can not have more free time because of parents. Parents usually worried (worry) about their children and limit there (their) free time. Maybe it is becasue parents want you to study every evening or on the weekend. However, the lifestyle living at home is more normal than living in the dormitory. [[If someone]]==>For those who living in the dormitory, he or she may spend the midnight to play computer games or watch the movies and (to) harm his or her health. Second, [[compare to the cost, living in the dormitory must have to pay more money in the lives]]==>the expenses of living in the dormitory is higher than those of living at home, (just like)==>such as the dorm rate (fees), water rate (fees), meal cost (the cost for three measls)..., and so on. For some people which is (who are) poor, it is a burden. [[The students living at home have no problem about these costs]]==>For those students who live at home, they do not have such problems. Parents prepare the lunch and dinner, all [[ the cost about lives]]==>living cost, and a room for us. Therefore, we don't (do not) have to worry about that if we living (live) at home. Third, [[compare to]]==>in terms of the relationship, living in the dormitory (can0==>allows us to have more time to chat and talk about the homework with classmates. Therefore, the students living in the dormitory have better relationship with classmates than those who live at home. According to the differences between living in the dormitory and at home, I think both have different advantages to attract people to choose. If you want to be independent, living in the dormitory is a good choice; if you want a good relationship with family (your families), just live at home (living at home is a good idea). [[It's fixed at the discretion of yourself.]]==>Do you mean "It all depends on your choice and preference."?

***As one of your peer-reviewer said, it is suggested that you come up with a topic sentence in the beginning to organize the main points in your article.

[[I have stayed in outside since I went to study at Ming-Chi technology university, and it forces me to live at school.]]==>I had lived in the dormitory when I went to Ming-Chi Institute of Technology. To live [[at school]]==>on campus has several advantages. First, schoolmates (classmates) have more time to get together with each other and the sentiment (relationship) also could quite be (be quite) good. Second, if I had any questions I coucld ask the (my) schoolmates to help me. Third, because I handled everything with my schoolmates, I could have a better tacit (mutual) understanding. Fourth, [[the fees at the school]]==>the expenses of living in the dormitory are lower than those of living at home. But [[the there are als some shortcoming.]]==>there are some disadvantages of living in the dormitory. First, the daily schedule would limit my free time, and I could not do anything in my spare time. Second, if you were not fun to be with, your relations with the classmates will be worse than before. Now, I study at NTUST, and I rent a house near my school. [[I found that there are some problems.]]==>Please rewrite this sentence becasue the following reasons that you provide do not only include problems but also advantages. First, it is very obviously to see that the living fees (expenses) are greatly increased, I may spend about twenty thousand a month. Second, if you rent a house outside, then you certainly have the free live, and [[you completely illuminates own custom to live.]]==>??? Third, I can have a part-time job and it can also make me learn how to independent in my life. [[Because I have not already lived at home, I do not know I could meet what kind of questions in fact, but it can be imagined that could have several questions.]]==>You do not have an experience in living at home??? First, parents could limit my free time and (control me)==>demand what time I should go back home. Therefore, [[the comparison was unable too late to turn over]]==>???. Second, [[the host meal may eat at home, and living in the dormitory does not need to spend much money.]]==>??? Therefore, the [[life expenditure]]==>living expenses can be much less. Third, I may have more time to (accompany with)==>accompany my parents. Now I live (in outside)==>outside, and [[I probably]]==I can only go home once a month. Living at home and in the dormitory both has (have) the good and bad points (sides), but I would like to live in the dormitory. It is quite free, but it can also (quite be)==>be quite laborious.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory.

[[About my experience, because the Ming-chi institute of technology defined all the students have to live in the dormitory, since I entered the five-year junior college until I graduated,]]==>Since Ming-Chi Institute of Technology (MCIT) required all students to live in the dormitory, I had lived in the dormitory for five years except the holidays ever since I entered MCIT. It's (It is) good to live at home because your brothers, sisters and parents will take care of you. You don’t (do not) need to worry about anything, including money and eating, although sometimes you might feel (illiberality)==>confined. In comparison, the advantage of living in the dormitory is that you can make many close friends because you all live together almost everyday, play and prepare for the exams with the classmates. They are just like your brother or sister; you help and take care of each other. The only drawback of living in the dormitory is that you [[could be lonesome for]]==>might miss your family sometimes. [[I thought each people all should have the experience for living in the dormitory, learning how to stay independently, it’s very important.]]==>I think everyone should have the experience in living in the dormitory to learn how to be independent because one day everyone must face (such life)==>it after all.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory. (III)

[[I remembered that I had left]]==>I had lived in the dormitory when I studied at Ming-Chi Technology University. This college life made me so impressed, and it also let me form some good habits, such as going to bed and getting up early, previewing lessons before the class and reviewing lessons after class, being more easygoing than before.I think there are some different factors between living at home and in the dormitory. First of all, living in the dormitory [[can be more easily]]==>make it eaier to ask teachers questions. This is because most teachers live in the dormitory, and you can ask them for [[the helping]]==>help whenever you have the spare time. However, this situation can not [[happened in living at home]]==>happen at home, because you will not come to school for only (just) one reason. Second, living in the dormitory is more convenient than living at home, due to the classrooms are near the dormitory, you do not have to spend times (time) in communing. You can save a lot of times (time) and use it to study. If you live at home, you have to deal with this problem. I think it is really a big trouble for those [[living at home’s students]]==>students who are living at home and their homes are far away from the school. Third, you can make so many different kinds of friends in the dormitory. [[Not like living at home]]==>Living at home, you always look alone, and look like a stranger to every classmate. Now I go to National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), most of my classmates live in the dormitory told me that I am very lucky to live at home. I consider (think) that there are some advantages (to live)==>living at home. First, you do not have to worry about whether the food is clean or not, and you can taste fresh fruits everyday. Second, you do have [[my own secrets]]==>your privacy. If you live in the dormitory, you can not do anything that you want to do. For example, if you go to somewhere to do something, [[it always have the person]]==>there are always persons who will ask you [[where do you go]]==>where you will go to? This is really not convenience (convenient). Third, I think that you can sleep very well. This is because some of your roommates may have the bad habits such as listening to music or making some uncomfortable noises when you are sleeping. However, if you live at home, you will not face these problems. [[It does not mean any good or bad ways]]==>There is no good or bad for living at home and in the dormitory; I think most people would love to try to change their invariable life styles. After experiencing many kinds of life styles, you will find the (a) way that fit you most. In conclusion, I think everyone should figure out (that)==>a way of living in the dormitory in college life, because you can learn a lot of things, habits, and experiences that you do not learn in living at home. Maybe there are some more advantages that I do not know (in)==about living at home, but based on the above comparison, I would love to choose living in the dormitory.

There are so many [[different in life style]]==>differences between living at home and in the dormitory. I have lived in the dormitory for six years. So I clearly know [[what different]]==>what the differences are between living at home and in the dormitory. The dormitory is a public place. If you want to do something, you need to think about other people. Because you may influence other people. I like to go to bed on (at) one o'clock. But my classmates like to sleep lately. Of course they always go to class lately. Anyway, they always make a lot of noises, and this let me hard to sleep. At my home (At home), I can sleep very comfortably. I have much personal place. In the dormitory, you need to do everything by yourself. The other people will not do something for you. You need to learn how to grow up. [[Unlike living at home]]==>Living at home, your mother will wash the clothes or [[be ready the fruit]]==>prepare fruits for you and your father will fix the electric products. But I think (it)==>living in the dormitory also has a lot of advantages. For example, I can go to class (slowly)==>on an easy pace. Beacause I don't need to spend much time on (traffic)==>transportatioin. Especially for some students who live very far (to)==> from school, they need to spend about one hour to go to school. Anyway, I think I like living at home more than living in the dormitory. Because I like to have a private space. And the important thing is that when I need [[noiselessness]]==>to be quiet, I hope (it)==>my surrounding is quiet.

Compare And Contrast Living At Home And In The Dormitory[ #2 ]

There are many differences between living at home and in the dormitory. Living at home is more convenient and private than living in the dorm. In comparison, because you no longer live with your parents, living in the dormitory is a good opportunity to train you to be independent as well as to learn how to create a good relationship with your roommates, and you have much freedom, too. I have lived in the dormitory for almost seven years since I graduate from junior high school. In general, forming good manners (behaving well) is important when living with roommates. For instance, if your roommates are used to staying up late, you have to ask them to talk in undertones and turn off the light. Try to communicate with them politely. But if you are at home, you can take it easy. Also, for respecting your roommates, you have to keep the public environment clean. Besides, you can chat with your roommates about school life or something. [[take care of each other. Then]]==>By taking care of each other, you begin to create a good friendship with your roommates gradually. And the last as well as the most important one is that you can arrange the time by yourself. It is good but also difficult. [[You have much freedom]]==>Having more freedom means that you have to control yourself. [[Not like you are at home]]==>Unlike at home, your parents cook for you, buy daily necessities for you, take care of you, and show you what is right or what is wrong all the time. Although it is inconvenient and sometimes you will lose your privacy [[when comparing]]==>compared to living at home, you will realize the advantages if living in the dormitory for a period of time. I love to live in the dormitory than to live at home. [[but it depends on you.]]==>The ending is kind of colloquial, how about change into "What is your prference?"

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitary. (Ver. 2)

I have never lived in a dormitory before, but many of my friends did. They sometimes told me about their lives in dorms. The biggest difference between living at home and in a dorm is that you no longer live with your family. Some people think it is a disvantage but some people think it is an advantage. For example, all the chores you have to finish (you have to finish all the chores) on your own, no one will do it for you, like doing laundry. On the other side (hand), some people will be glad because their parents would not be able to control their lives. They can decide what to do in free time. Another difference is living with roommates. It is not like living at home. Before doing anything, you should consider your roommates' feelings. For instance, if you want to listen to music, you should put on an ear-phone because one of your roommates is taking a nap. But you can learn a lot of things: learn to respect others, to compromise with things, and to know how to communicate with people. There are some people who get upset when living without their family. Because they miss their families a lot and think nobody is taking care of them anymore. But living in a dorm is a good way to learn independence. It helps you to grow up. Although I am not very fond of this idea, I am willing to try it. We cannot rely on our family forever; eventually we all have to grow up.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory (version two

There are many differences between living at home and living in the dormitory. Though I have never lived in the dormitory, many of my friends told me the things about the experiences that they lived in the dormitory. I think the remarkable difference between living at home and in the dormitory is you should do everything by yourself. Owing to we live at home since we was born, we were used to be (arranged everything)==>managed by parents in terms of everything. We shouldn't (do not have to) worry about how to prepare our diet. Parents would protect us (not to be harm)==>from being harmed and give us a lot of care. We wouldn't (will not) grow up because parents shield us from hard things. [[Adversely, living in the dormitory unlike living in the home]]==>Unlike living at home, living in the dormitory, you should do everything by yourself. Things like cleaning your room and washing dirty clothes…, etc. Maybe these things are very cumbersome, but it can train us to be independent on the other hand. And when you live in the dormitory, you can know every kind of roommates. It seems to be interesting to make a lot of friends. You can found (find) distinctive characters from them. For example, people who come from the south are friendly and they speak Taiwanese fluently. On the contrary, you should tolerate dissimilar life styles in the dormitory and you don't (do not) have personal space to do the things you like to. For instance, some people are used to going to bed late because they like to do things in the midnight. Some people will be crazy when they can't (cannot) sleep enough (have enough sleep/sleep well).
Living at home and living in the dormitory have each (both) advantages and disadvantages. But it depends on yourself to choose one suitable for you . Next semester I will have a chance to live in the dormitory. I think I should try to learn how to adapt to various conditions and become mature.==>Good luck to you!

***Though you mention the remarkable difference between living in the dormitory and at home is doing things by yourself, you also talk about people's distinctive characters and differernt life styles. Assignment2_(2): Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory

Living at home and living in the dormitory are two things. Because of location, I lived in the dormitory when I was a student at National United Junior College in MiaoLi. Now I am a student of NTUST and I am living at home with my family in Taipei. For me, the different points between living int the dormitory and living at home are independence and privacy. I learned so many things about taking care of myself when I lived in the dormitory. I needed to wash my dirty clothes, kept my bedroom clear and sometimes cooked food by myself because no one would do that for me. I took care of myself even when I got a cold.

I learned how to make me feel better and I did not want my family to worry about me. I grew up and became independent. In contrast with living in the dormitory, living at home always lets me rely on my parents who always look after me. For example, when you get a cold, parents will take you to the hospital; when you feel hungry, parents cook food for you and you do not need to worry about having no clean clothes to wear. But you lose chance to be independent.

The other different point is privacy. Living in the dormitory, I shared the space with my roommates and we lived together every day and night so there was almost no privacy. Unlike living in the dormitory, living at home is more private. I have my own room and I enjoy being in my room because I can do anything I want there. For example, sometimes I do not want to be noticed when I feel sad and I can be alone with myself. When I feel good I can listen to music and sing songs loudly, I do not need to worry about making noises.

There are always two sides at one thing, such as advantages and disadvantages. Independence and privacy are both important; therefore, you should take chance to live both in the dormitory or (and) at home. It will be a good experience for you.

Living at home is (different environment from)==>different from living in the dormitory. [[On the traffic]]==>When it comes to transportation, if you living (live) at home, you have to get up earlier than those who living in the dormitory. For example, I am living at home in HsinChuang(新莊) now, it is far from NTUST, if I take the public transportation to school, I need to spend 1.5 hours, but those who living in the dormitory do not have to that like me. If I live in the dormitory, I can have more sleeping time. However, living in the dormitory, you will have to pay more expenses on food. When you live in the dormitory, you eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner outside, because you do not have a kitchen in the dormitory. It is more expensive than you cooking (cook) meals by yourself. (On the other hand)==>Furthermore, the meals you eat outside are also unhealthy because they are almost oily, salty and contain much more calories. The most important of all - the privacy, you have to share your room with your roommates when you live in the dormitory. Sometimes your roommates maybe (may) do something and you will feel botheration (bothered) , embarrassed , and even angry with them. For example, my friend often complains about his roommate's snore disturbed (disturb) his sleep every nights (night). It is really annoying. Unlike living in the dormitory, when you live at home, you have your own space; you can listen to music loudly, sleep lately, you can do anything you want without bothering anyone. However, you can learn how to make a decision by yourself and how to live independent by living in the dormitory. [[It is different experience to living at home and in the dormitory.]]==>Living at home andd in the dormitory are two different experiences.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory (version 2 not yet)

Many peoples' life has been changed since they get into the college. The biggest change is about the lodgment (accomodation). Many students start to live at (in) the dormitory. And the main differences between living at home and living at (in) the dormitory are the traffic (transportation) problem and the change of daily life. For me, I live at home, and I have to take more than 40 minutes to ride a motor bicycle to school. Otherwise (Especially), I need to set out before 7:50 in the morning, if the first class starts at 8:30 morning. And I have to pray there have (are) no traffic jams. In (At) this time, maybe many students in the dormitory (still in sleep)==>are still asleep, and they only need to wake up before 8:20 a.m., then walk to the classroom happily. (And)==>When it comes to the change of daily life. If you live at home, your parents may restrain your behavior. For example, you can not go home too late, and you can not sleep too late. Definitely you can not be absent form the class very easily. But, if you live at (in) the dormitory, no one would care about when you come back to the dormitory, even you stay outside all the night (all night), and no one would care about when you go to sleep, and of course no one would care about your absence from the class. In conclusion, although liviing at the dormitory is very convenient. But that may make you become lazier. So, if you do not want to be flunked out (flunked) by the school, you need to ay more attention on (to) your studying (study).

Compare And Contrast Living At Home And In The Dormitory #2

Sometimes when students (were studied)==>study far away home, they have to live in the dormitory. I have lived (have been living) in the dormitory since senior high school. There are so many differences between living at home and in the dormitory. I think the main differences are privacy, convenient and the family's company.

The dormitory is a public place, so you do not have much privacy here. You have to share space with your roommates, so you have to keep your own place clean and organized every day. It is very difficult to live with a roommate who has bad habits. For example, I used to live with a person who smokes inside the house. It is always a bad small around the whole place. Living in the dormitory, you can not do anything you want just like you (were)==>would do at home. Listening to music loudly or walking around naked is not allowed in the dormitory.

Living at home is much more convenient than living in the dormitory. You have to wash your clothes every two or three days when you living (live) in the dormitory. Sometime when I was too busy and I forgot to wash my clothes. I have to wear dirty clothes to school. Getting something to eat is another thing you have to care about when you living (livie) outside. The restaurant inside the school is cheap and delicious. But the food there is always the same. It will make you feel gross when you keep eating the same food.

Students who never live outside might think that living in the dormitory have more freedom because their parents are not here. But I do not agree that. Sometimes when I were in trouble or got sick, I miss my family so much and I wish I can see them immediately. But it is impossible because my home is so far away from me. And it is always a lot of works (work) to do when I try to go home on holidays.

For me, living at home is much better than living in the dormitory. You have more privacy, conveniency, and the most important, you can see your family all the time.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory(3rd)

I live in the dormitory. Before I went to university, home was where I live. When talking about home or dormitory, there are pros and cons in (for) both. And I like to live in the dormitory more than at home. The differences between home and the dormitory are convenience, cost, comfort, freedom, and the attitude toward studying. First, it's (it is) more convenience (convenient) to live at home than in the dormitory. This is because mom or dad can take care of all the things I need. I don't (do not) have to do them by myself. For examples (example), the foods and the clothes. My mom is a housewife so I never worry about eating. But now, if I want to eat lunch or dinner, I have to go outside. And I worry about what should I eat a lot . At home, I got everything I need for studying or daily life by my mom. Now I have to solve them by myself. Under this kind of condition, the cost of living at home is lesser than that of in the dormitory. My mom cook every day so I needn't eat outside. On the other hand, I can save money at eating. [[That was the same that I didn't need to spend my own money. ]]==?? What's (What is) more, [[it's more comfortable at home]]==>living at home is moreo comfortable because living in the dormitory, I need to care about other roommates whether my music or talking is too loud. I feel pressured in the dormitory because I am not familiar with roommates. However/Nevertheless, unlike living at home, I have much freedom living in the dormitory. At home, if I want to go outside, I had to tell my mom. And she always asked me what time will I be back. But now in the dormitory no one restricts me anymore. I can do anything at will. When it comes to study, for me, I study harder at home than in the dormitory. I think it is because Mom urged me to do that. I am the only one who urge me to study hard in the dormitory. On the other hand, I can have fun in the dormitory and without anyone controlling me. I studied every single day at home, but now I study only before the tests. I like to live in the dormitory (just)==>mostly because I have much freedom in the dormitory. Although living at home is much better than living in the dormitory in many ways. I like (this kind of happy atmosphere)==>the happy atmosphere in the dormitory.

Compare and contrast living in an apartment and in the dormitory(Version 2)

My first (delete this word) experience of living outside (away) from my parents has begun since I went to Taipei for study. In the first two year of my university life, I lived in the dormitory. But now I've been living in an apartment with my other four classmates for ? years/months. Of course, both them have advantages and disadvantages (lying within simultaneously)==??. I think the differences between living in an apartment and in the dormitory are privacy, cost, and environmental hygiene. Living in an apartment has more privacy than living in the dormitory. Usually, one room in the dormitory contains four or five people at most. And it's an open area that every action could be seen in the eyes of everyone. So if you need more privacy, an apartment offers more personal space than dormitory. Also (However), the costs of living in an apartment are definitely more expensive, which include not only the monthly rents but the extra expenses, such as LNG (liquefied natural gas), eating, and transportation fees. On the campus of NTUST, we students seem to be quite self-contained in some way. We can eat and buy most necessities cheaply without leaving the campus. In contrast with dormitory, things can only be available with the market prices outside. At last, as far as the environmental hygiene, dormitory is better than an apartment. In the dormitory, all we have to do with the garbage is to throw them in the garbage cans, and then someone would take them out for us. However, living in an apartment, we have to do it all by ourselves. So, again, there are advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I would choose a dormitory instead of an apartment. A dormitory is better for me because I don't like commuting.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory(2nd)

Living at home or in the dormitory has different(both) advantages and disadvantages. I think that advantages or disadvantages are dependent on everyone’s different situation. And I feel that living in the dormitory have (is) a little inconvenient. For example, [[the time I almost late and I must use the toilet to brush my teeth or change my clothes, maybe I will late because wait for someone who taking a bath in the toilet]]==>the reason why I am late for class is sometimes I have to take turn to use the bathroom. Also, [[ I always shy of ask someone who talking to friends excitedly or make a loud noise in the room when I want to tranquilize myself to be quite]]==>I am always shy to tell somebody to lower her voice when she is talking to her friends excitedly or making a loud noise in the room. Moreover, [[the most important of all is some people foul the room or toilet but]]==> the last thing that I can stand is when somebody mess up the room and toilet and do not clean up it. In contrast with living in the dormitory, I feel living at home is more comfortable and freer than living in the dormitory. For instance, I can turn on the music loudly at home, and will not worry about disturbing my roommates. Also, I can choose the TV program which I want to see, or will not be disturbed when I want to study. I can control my all (all my) time and do not be affected by other roommates. In addition, I can have more time to do things with my family together and feel that the home is the warmest place for me.

#2 Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory

I have lived outside for three years since I was a high school student. I know that both in the dormitory and at home have their advantagesand disadvantages. While in the dormitory (has)==>there are much more freedom and time, at home there is more private (privacy). When it comes to freedom, living in the dormitory is freer than living at home because you can come and go as you like without interference from parents. The decision, when to get back, and what to eat, is on your hand. Unlike living in the dormitory, living at home you can not participate night activities, such as singing at KTV, and dancing at night club. You can not eat pizzas for lunch and eat stinky tofu for dinner. [[Likewise]]==>Moreover/Furthermore, [[in the dormitory has]]==>living in the dormitory, you can have much more time, because you can save the time of traffic. [[The time, you can]]==>You can use the time that you save to join some clubs to cultivate your interest. For instance, the ballroom dancing club, the soccer club, and the guitar club. While at home you will worry about whether you can catch the last bus, if you stayed at school late. Moreover, in the dormitory you can discuss yourlessons (your lessons) with your classmates, but at home you can not do that. On the other hand, living at home is more private because you have your own room. You can do anything you want and [[not disturb]]==>without disturbing others. While in the dormitory, you have to take care of the other's (others') feelings. For example, you can not (open)==>turn on themusic (the music) loudly when your roommates are sleeping. Finally, where you live in depends (depending) on what you want. If you want your life (is)==>to be wonderful, living in the dormitory is a good choice. However, if you feel you need privacy, living at home is for you.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory(2st)

I think live (living) at home and in the dormitory are very different. First, when I live at home, my parents always buy dinner for me. And my Mom always clean the environment of our home. Sometimes when I want to go where I want to go, my parents can take me to the place. But live (living) in the dormitory, I must do that by myself. If I want to eat something, I have to go out to buy that. Or if I want to go some place , I must walk or take the bus to go there. And when I see the room become dirty, I will (need to) clean the room by myself. Second, I think our parents always take care of us when we are at home. But now I am living in the dormitory , sometimes I don't take care of my body (do not take care myself well), [[at this time]]==>therefore, my roommates always warn me to eat well so that my body can become good. When I am sick, my roommates always [[with me]]==>accompany me to see the doctor and we always go out together. [[They're assiduity]]==>Their assistance always let (make) me feel that they are just like my family. Even now , my parents are not with me, but my roommates [[instead of my parents , let I don't feel I'm along]]==>are just like my family which makes me feel that I am not alone. Third, if I live at home, I will feel not free, I can't (cannot) do the things that I want to do, and my parents will (bridle)==?? me. I don't (do not) like that. For example, if I want to go out at midnight , my parents can't (cannot) agree with it. [[Or]]==>However, if I live in the dormitory, when I want to go some place to play, I don't have to tell my parents abot that. [[Live in the dormitory , I can do that , I don't need to let my parents agree that.]]==delete this sentence.

***It is suggested that you organize your paragraph by dividing the main points into the advantages and disadvantages instead of just listing them using "First, Second, and Third."
Also pay attention to your grammar and punctuation. Think about a conclusion to sum up the paragraph, too.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory 【# 2】

There are many differences between living at home and in the dormitory. A lot of people living at home with their famiy, but some people should live in the dormitory because of the school wrok (work). I am one of the students of this population, so I get (have) some ideas about the differences between living at home and in the dormitory. The first of all (First of all), the family have to pay extra expenses of rents, it is not a small cost if the family's finances is tight. Second, mother will cook three meals for family, but living in the dormitory, you should prepare three meals by yourself. It is very inconvenient and it is also another expense. Third, I have to live with other people in the dormitory, it (which) means you don't (do not) have privacy. For example, if you want to have a phone call to your boyfriend, it will be heared to (heard by) other roomates. As it is a (life of group)==>social life, you should think about other people's lifestyles habits because you can not just consider yourself. On the other hands (hand), (there have)==>there are some advantages of living in the dormitory. For instance, you can go to KTV or play bowling with friends at midnight, unlike at home, you should go home before 12 o'clock, or your parents will blame you. Furthermore, you can make friends with your roomates. If you have some trouble, you can discuss with them; if you feel boring (bored) on the weekend, you can go shopping with them. It is a special experience for me, because I didn't live (did not have any experiences in living) with other people except my family. To sum up, there are many differences between living at home and in the dormitory, it is all a matter of personal feeling. Maybe you prefer living with roomates to having a private room, or you like to go shopping yourself. For me, I think living in the dormitory is a chance to train myself to be independent, and it is also an experience of my life.

Compare and contrast living in an apartment and in the dormitory (II)

I think that living in an apartment and living in the dormitory have both their advantages and disadvantages. I have been living in the dormitory for almost two years and I feel very satisfied with this, the advantages for the students are many: you do not need to take a bus to go to class, the cost of the room and food in (on) the campus are cheaper than that of outside, so you can save a lot of money. Moreover if your roommates are also your classmates, maybe the friendship improves. On the other hand, the space is reduced ( limited) and it is not exactly your space, in occasions (on occasion) you can not [[choice with who live]]==>chosse with whom you will live and your roommates will be people you do not know.

Unlike living in the dormitory, living in an apartment is more expensive. In other words you will spend more money in (for) rent, electricity, water, Internet connection, etc. Also, if you do not have motorcycle, you need to take a bus or MTR, so you need to [[schedule better]]==>well schedule your time. However if you find a good place you can have more space for yourself and privacy, and maybe you can have the option to make your meals unlike that in the dormitory.

To conclude, I think that from the moment that you leave home to begin a more independent life, these two different environments are both good to learn a lot about life, [[respect, how to deal with that taking your time and others good habits.]]==>?? Do you mean "How to deal with that depending on time and your ability to adapt to life."

***Good organization of the advantages and disadvantages of living in the dormitory and in an apartment.
