WHY DID U CHOOSE YOUR MAJOR II ?

My major is mechanical engineering.
My dad do pioneering work when I was so young. It's an enterprise about mechanical engineering, and it is a successful enterprise. So my mom wished me can do the same job in the same company. I think I was too young and I (haven't be)=>was not ready to choose my major at that time, but i (I) know that everything (all have the)==>has a connection with the mechanical (mechanics), and I thought it might be easy to find a job in the future. So I didn't choose a high school, I choose (chose) to enter the Ming-Chi institute of technology .
(Then I enter the Ming-Chi institute of technology)==>?? a redudanct sentence. But my arithmetics is poor , the lesson is always about the arithmetics , such as Dynamics and Engineering Mathematics. I suffered from setbacks so much in the exams that I have lost my interest in (mechanics). But it's difficult to find a new major and learn it all over again . Now I just hope that I can graduate from Ntust (NTUST) successfully. I am tired to be a student.
However, I think some people choose their majors because they do well on their majors . I do (did) well on (my university of technology's entrance exams)==>the entrance exams of technological universities, so I (join to)=>joined NTUST. (maybe)==>If I can take more time to do well on all programs about arithmetics, I will enjoy my major more.
